Billy Kennedy & Jimmy Boyer Happy Hour - ALL AGES
Every Friday from 6-8:30pm Portland legend Billy Kennedy invites some of the region's best talent to share the stage with him... like tonight's guest, Jimmy Boyer.

A founding member of The Freak Mountain Ramblers, Jim Boyer has been captivating crowds since he started his musical career in 1984 as a vocalist in Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 16. He moved on to New York, and was a busker in the East Village for a while then hitched to Flagstaff, Arizona where he hooked up with Cold Turkey, featuring Scotty Brownwood. In 1989 Jim Boyer moved to Portland, Oregon, where he met Billy Kennedy and Lynn Conover, who led him into the roots of the Portland music scene, with The Rounders (Steve Weber, Dave Reisch, Roger North) and the late great Jeffrey Frederick of the Clamtomes. Jim played with all of them and more, Tim Acott, Neil Gilpin, Sam Henry and Kevin 'Bingo' Richey. Jim and Bingo became "Glowing Corn", a punk rock sensation that let it all hang out (circa 94-97).
